We get it – demonstrating CPD can be annoying! When faced with time constraints, it can be incredibly frustrating to remember to write down what you have done or even feel the motivation to find suitable learning activities.
It can be tempting to approach CPD as a bureaucratic exercise, rather than an opportunity for learning in which you can level up your business or be the best version of yourself.

When I was nine years old, I asked my parents if I could learn to meditate and consequently met with Dr Roles at the Study Society in London. He had met the Maharishi and then been introduced to his teacher Shri Shantananda Saraswati and was initiating people into meditation in the UK. Dr Roles gave me a mantra which I still meditate with today.

There are lots of myths surrounding meditation and that it has to be done in a particular way: sitting still, cross-legged on a cushion, in peaceful surroundings to name but a few. And of course these ways may be good for you.
There are also alternative practices to sitting still but many of these are still offered in a rather prescribed and traditional route. And that’s where meditation in its mainstream form can sometimes feel exclusionary and even frustrating to neurodivergent people.
