The British School of Meditation trains teachers to deliver meditation courses of high quality.

The meditation courses run by the Meditation School are externally accredited and have Ofqual recognition. So if you are looking for a teacher who has been properly trained, has signed a Code of Ethics and Practice, is committed to on-going training, and has full insurance cover, then you have come to the right place!

Our teachers have trained to deliver a course in meditation that will help you learn this wonderful skill. Once learned you have a skill you can use at any time to help you feel calmer and more peaceful.

The training course all our teachers have undertaken equips them to deliver mindful meditation courses. The meditation courses are secular in their approach and include guided meditations and exercises in mindfulness.

Foundation 1 – Mindfulness meditation, with Sarah Presley

5 week course

Monday evenings, 6.45 – 7.45pm

Starting 22nd July 2024

Online or in person from the Sarah Presley Training Room in Winterbourne Down, Bristol.

Learn how meditation can help you shift your perspective so you can let go of your worries, understand why you feel anger or anxiety, make peace with your inner critic, and discover the joy of moment to moment living.

During this course, you will explore lots of different types and techniques of meditation to help you find the best fit for you, whilst being supported to deal with the various distractions that can affect your experience.

Plus, you will get to know all the amazing health benefits that meditation can bring as well as discover the incredible positive changes to your brain.

You will be given between 2-3 meditation videos each week for you to practice with at home, plus weekly handouts which detail what has been covered during the session.

Introduction to meditation course, with Catherine Banks

Are you feeling overwhelmed and craving an inner calm?

Do you feel yourself constantly tied up in mental chatter?

Are you feeling anxious or stressed and wanting to find ways to improve your wellbeing?

Have you tried practising meditation, but can't seem to stick to it?

This 5 week meditation course is designed to help you explore different styles of meditation and find ways to take you from overwhelm to an inner calm.

This course will help you to learn how to meditate and guide you to cultivate your own meditation practice to take forward with you.

Each week we will explore a different style of meditation form a variety of backgrounds, helping you to develop your practice from scratch (or go deeper) and find different ways to connect with yourself and the present moment. Learning to take time to be with yourself and meet yourself with grace.

Meditations will include, Mindfulness, Mantra, Breathing exercises, Visualisation, Compassion practices and more.

Your will receive 2-3 meditation recordings following each session via a personalised playlist, to help you continue your practice at home and the teacher will be available for questions in helping you to develop your meditation practice between classes.
