Meet your Trainer: Sarah Presley

I first discovered the amazing benefits of meditation in 2000 whilst recovering from M.E. Over time, as my interest in meditation grew, my personal practice developed and I now meditate at least once a day, as well as creating lots of mindful moments during the day – this helps me to feel really calm, focused and centred which gives huge benefits to my health and wellbeing.

Now enjoying optimum health, I have worked as a teacher and practitioner of holistic therapies since 2003 helping to empower individuals with both their personal and professional development.

In 2013, I felt the next natural step was to become a Meditation Teacher and choosing an accredited course which provided face-to-face training was important to me. The British School of Meditation fitted the bill, especially as their course is externally accredited with Ascentis and also recognised by the government agency, OFQUAL. I enjoyed the whole experience with the British School of Meditation and felt the training was very professional and very supportive - I really felt ready to go out to teach once the course had completed. After qualifying, with a distinction, I have found my meditation classes to be really popular and I enjoy teaching Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced groups in-person and online as well as many individuals on a 1-to-1 basis as well as free recordings on youtube. I also spent a year teaching meditation in a school to children with medical, social and complex health issues and I was amazed at their response and acceptance of meditation techniques.

In 2014, my love of meditation took me to the next level to train as a trainer with the British School of Meditation. I feel very honoured to be a part of the British School of Meditation team and I have been running the South West training region in Bristol since 2015. In 2019 I was asked to bring the training to Wales and I am excited to be running the course from Cardiff Bay.

I am very much looking forward to providing the training and support to help you to take the next steps to becoming an accredited Meditation Teacher. If in the meantime you have any questions around the course, venue, travel or accommodation please feel free to email me at sarah@teaching-meditation.co.uk
