About Kim Lowery:
Kim was drawn to meditation in 2000 whilst training as a Therapeutic Counsellor. Her interest in meditation and developing good mental wellbeing has grown over the years along with her personal meditation practice. Kim has worked as a holistic therapist since 2007 and qualified as a fitness instructor in 2009. She whole heartedly embraces the concept that the definition of 'health' is not just about our physical wellbeing and that good mental wellbeing is equally important to our sense of 'wholeness' internal and external.
A natural progression for Kim was to teach meditation. The British School of Meditation stood out from other courses being accredited with the Open College Network S.W. Region (trading as Ascentis) and providing face to face in depth training. The experience and support of a professionally run training course resulted in an accredited qualification, some excellent new-found friendships and confidence to set up meditation courses for individuals and groups from beginners to improvers to the more advanced practitioners. Kim's favoured daily meditations are the breath and Mantra however, she enjoys teaching a variety of different types of meditations with her private students and group classes.
Kim was incredibly honoured to be invited to train as a trainer with the British School of Meditation in 2014. This is also an accredited qualification with Ascentis and also recognised by the Government agency OFQUAL.
She is fully insured and adheres to the British School of Meditation code of ethics and practice. Kim also runs regular meditation classes, retreats and one to one tuition in and around the Bourne, Rutland and Stamford areas of South Lincolnshire.
